Wikipedia defines essay as: “a piece of writing that gives the author’s own argument or opinion on a topic. Merriam-Webster states that: “it’s a literary composition usually dealing with its subject from a limited or personal point of view.” Collins Dictionary further sharpens the meaning by describing an essay as: “a short piece of writing on one particular subject written by a writer for publication.”
Such is the design of writings on this site. These essays are my personal opinions. They are based upon my own understanding of Biblical teaching about living life as a Christian. Some essays focus upon faith – facts to believe. Some focus upon practice – precepts to follow. Some focus upon promises – a future inheritance.
It is my hope and prayer that seekers will gain helpful insights from reading the essays. And that they will be motivated to go beyond these essays into deeper study in order to fully realize the goal: “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27b).
